Do you dream of escaping the rat race and completely relaxing in beautiful surroundings - then Honeysuckle Cottage is the place for you - it is a haven of tranquillity in a hectic modern world. At any time of the year Honeysuckle Cottage is a lovely place to return to at the end of a day exploring the local area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Honeysuckle Cottage was built in 1589 and is Grade II listed. It is the middle section of a Suffolk longhouse. This does not mean it lacks mod cons – there is a modern kitchen with all the usual amenities and both a bathroom and a shower room. But it retains its character by its antique furnishings and general ambiance. This is a real home from home – there are beautiful pictures on the walls and the house has a feeling of being a loved home – not just a place for occasional stays.

Wrentham is a large village 2 miles from the sea at Covehithe and 5 miles from the famous Suffolk resort of Southwold. Wrentham has 2 pubs, a café (good breakfasts), a fish and chip shop, a post office/shop and an outlet centre.

Honeysuckle cottage is only 10 minutes drive from Southwold, 15 minutes drive from Minsmere, 25 Minutes from Snape Maltings and 30 minutes from Aldeburgh. The famous Aldeburgh Festival is held every June and some of the concerts are held in Blythburgh Church which is only 10 minutes from the cottage
